Pat and Sarto met with Gayle and Bruce Neff at the cemetery. They tentatively chose Plot 84 in Section VIII (8) for the burial of their son’s cremated remains which will be buried in the spring.
11-16-09
The cremated remains of Muriel E. Cantell and Kenneth Cantell were buried in Section IV (4), Lot 103B. Kenneth Cantell died on 9-19-2007 and Muriel Cantell died on 9-14-09.
11-19-09
Pat and Sarto met with Paul Gillis at the cemetery. Paul Gillis wanted to donate his cemetery plots, Lot 3, 9-10 in Section VII (7) to the Town, since he plans on being buried in the Veteran’s cemetery. He was told he would have to submit “an Article to be given to the Town Clerk”.

Paul Gillis gave the following to the Town Clerk:
An Article:
To see if the Town will vote to allow the Cemetery Commission to accept the donation of 2 (2) plots of land identified as: Section VII, Lot 3, Plots 9 & 10, Line 1, Northwest side of Holland Cemetery.
Internment in these plots will be subject to the following conditions:
- that the Cemetery Commission has determined that the cremated remains are of an indigent veteran with a reasonable connection to the Town of Holland;
- only flat memorial stones, as provided by the Veterans Administration, be allowed;
- And that the Town of Holland shall not be liable for any cost related to the internment.
Of special note: Donald Bopp has been hired by the Town to do the monument footings to be paid out of the Revolving Fund.

Cemetery Commission Meeting
Present: Pat Caron, Sarto Caron and Brian Johnson.
7:00 p.m. We discussed Paul Gillis’ Article to the Town of Holland – Members had no objections since it benefits the Town.
The Cemetery Commission has asked the Highway Department to dig the graves, and they have accepted. All fees are to go to the Revolving Account. These funds are to be used at the discretion of the Commission for cemetery maintenance.
No citizens came.
Corrections were made to the Report of 3-18-09: Patricia L. Caouette was buried in Sect. X, (not V) Plot 273.
Corrections were made to the Report of 5-11-09: Madeline M. Jolin was buried in Sect. IV, (not III) Plot 95A.
